Modena is a city that has no shortage of surprises. Here you can visit the great historical monuments, stroll through the shopping streets and spend the evening with good life in the center's premises.


What sets Modena from the cultural point of view is the well-known complex that houses the cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997), the Piazza Grande and Torre della Ghirlandina. Next to it stands the Palace Museum, which boasts an ancient history. And 'in fact, was designed and built by the dynasty of the Este family in 1753. The Palace Museum, he was born first as a warehouse for the storage of goods and then used as a hospital, now houses historical exhibits from around the world. Inside is the Galleria Estense, where you can admire works of Velazques caliber and Del Greek. Between one stage and the other, do not fail to impress the walks among the arcaded streets of the city center.


Another point of interest that is worth seeing is the Teatro Comunale in Modena. The building was built in 1838, with the aim of giving new life to the former room of the Via Emilia, the seventeenth century origin. The Modena inhabitants used to take part in the many events of the theater since its first inauguration. After a suspension of the activities in the period of World War I, the theater flourished progressively, thanks to the vast collection of plays, opera ballets and concerts. Today the Theatre has been dedicated to the great tenor Luciano Pavarotti, following his death.


A trip to Modena is not only culture. The city is full of ideas for fun and recreation. The streets of the center are full of shops, both big names as cheap. Inevitable tasting of typical Modena dishes, made even tastier by assorted red wines appreciated all over the world.
